The layering of various items from the past symbolize the geologic layers of Anthropocene of irreparable human activity. It’s also the layers of memory, the personal fates of each of us, as well as a reference to the Princess and Pea. The question of whether we will learn from excavating all the layers of micro and macro aspects of human history is the key.
