Donkey & The National Theatre

The National Theatre, a significant symbol of Czech national pride, has an asymmetric floorplan and thus could not work as a carriage. It expresses a sort of untouchable reservation, a historical weight, our inability to list the achievements of the past. The gold reflects the national sentiment, while the donkey symbolizes the ease of falling into bondage.

Národní divadlo jako všeobecně známý symbol národní hrdosti má nesymetrický půdorys a v podobě kočáru tak není funkční. Vyjadřuje jakýsi nedotknutelný skanzen, historické závaží, naši neschopnost citovat úspěchy z historie. Zlato poukazuje k národnímu sentimentu, osel symbolizuje snadnou zotročitelnost.
