Sport Gallery Paradise

The installation “Sport Gallery Paradise” was created for the exhibition of the same name. The installation itself was composed of various sports equipment and accompanied by energetic music designed to motivate athletes during competitions. The exhibition, titled “Sport Gallery” and curated by artists Jan Kadlec and Milan Salák, referred to the mental disparity between the phenomena of sport and culture. The show was conceived through the existence of an officially perceived unity, represented in a folder entitled “Sport, Culture, and the Maintenance of Monuments” in other words, public entertainment as understood by the political establishment. The exhibition was composed of artifacts that were thematically or visually connected to the mentioned phenomenon: sport.

Instalace “Sport Gallery Paradise” byla vytvořena pro stejnomenou výstavu. Samotná instalace byla zhotovená z jednotlivých sportovních potřeb a doplněna energickou hudbou povzbuzující sportovce při utkáních. Výstava s názven “Sport Gallery” pod kurátorským vedením umělců Jana Kadlece a Milana Saláka odkazovala k mentální rozdílnosti fenoménů sportu a kultury. Výstava byla pojata skrze existenci úředně vnímané jednotnosti, reprezentované v šanonu s názvem “Sport, kultura a úprava pomníků”, respektive obecná zábava, jak ji vnímá politická veřejnost. Výstava byla vytvořena z artefaktů, které měly obsahovou či vizuální propojenost se zmíněným fenoménem, sportem.
